A las universidades cada día acuden miles de personas para trabajar y/o estudiar. Por eso es necesario reforzar los controles de seguridad. Para ello, se puede optar por diversas medidas tales como:
1. Instalar sistemas de vigilancia permanente como cámaras de seguridad, tanto en los pasillos como en campus.
2. Instalar sistemas de iluminación con detección de personas como medida disuasoria.
3. Reforzar los controles de accesos para garantizar la seguridad de estudiantes, docentes y cualquier otra persona que haga uso de estas instalaciones.
4. Incrementar y mejorar los actuales sistemas de vigilancia. Por ejemplo:
- Implementar controles electrónicos en aulas.
- Distribución de las cámaras de manera que evite los puntos ciegos.
- Aumento en la cantidad de cámaras o cambio por modelo de óptica varifocal.
5. Incentivar hábitos seguros entre los usuarios. Por ejemplo:
- Promover el uso de la tarjeta o carné de control de acceso
- Incentivar el reporte de cualquier acto delictivo o persona sospechosa al personal de seguridad y autoridades competentes.
